While it may not be as well known as NYFW, Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week, formerly known as Brickell Fashion Week, shines the spotlight on some of Miami’s hottest local designers and even international talent. Taking place from April 25^th to the 27^th, this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever showcasing day wear, evening wear, and on the concluding night, our personal Miami fave, swimwear. If you are fashionable enough, there is a VIP Launch Party on April 24^th that is so exclusive it’s not even included in the dates. And, of course, fashion is never complete without complimentary cocktails offered each night as you see the latest clothing from lines like Evelli founded by Susan Panter a graduate from the Art Institute of Miami, Anjoreen Couture whose designer hails from Nigeria, and JoJo Beach Wear closes the show with its timeless and individualized couture pieces offered online and at specialty boutiques. With sponsors like Macy’s and Paul Mitchell, you can be certain this event will be the place to see and be seen in the Miami fashion world. A portion of all proceeds are given to the Boys and Girls club—just another reason to attend one of this season’s hottest events.
