Was anyone else a little chilly today or was it just us? Alright, it may not feel like real winter outside, but sophomore Deanna Franco is bringing in the cool air with her breezy winter get-up. Spotted walking into the library, we know that economics isn’t the only thing Deanna is getting accomplished this week as she shows Miami natives that white isn’t dead after labor day. Following the season’s fashion, Franco revamps this summer favorite with winter-friendly J. Brand corduroys. Her effortless style for the cooler season is complemented by N.D.C. boots from Bergdorf Goodman and a gauzy olive Vince sweater–a nod to the breezy Miami air. As an avid reader of fashion mags such as InStyle and Cosmopolitan, Deanna usually works from a consistent color cycle made up of blue, green, black or white. Additions to her look, such as her bone scarf and saddle brown Balanciaga add warmth while she throws in a subtle pop of color with her yellow banded Capri watch–straight off the boat from Italia. This crisp look is no accident, as it seems fashion runs in the Franco blood. This style it-girl followed in her mother’s footsteps and joined the fashion world by interning with NYC’s elite Rena Lange. From sample sales to merchandizing, no fashion corner has been left unturned by Deanna. They say editor-in-chiefs start out as interns, so if there is anyone we want to be following for fashion tips this season, it’s this girl.
