The event, which takes place every 2nd Saturday of the month, sees area galleries open their doors and offer complimentary drinks to patrons. In recent years, the event has grown immensely, with food trucks (like Ms. Cheezious) gathering along 2nd Avenue in large numbers to serve hungry art walkers. Kristen took these shots at this month’s event:

MIAMI, FLA. — APRIL 14, 2012: Vistors peruse the works of photographer Matt Stock at Gallery 212. Stock, a former student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, blended his love of science and photography to create his unique Painting with Light in the Dark style. Based on the Renaissance-era techniques of da Vinci, Stock uses the same concept of sfumatoto add layers of illumination to his multi-layer photographs.
